About me
My path into beauty therapy began as a personal interest. I initially wanted to learn massage, but upon discovering that a higher qualification in Anatomy and Physiology was required, I embraced the challenge. I dedicated a year to night school, earning the qualification I needed to pursue my passion. The following year, when the course was no longer available, I began working in the care sector while exploring further opportunities.
Determined to follow my dream, I enrolled in the HNC Complementary Therapies course at Aberdeen College. At the time, I never imagined I would be accepted—but I was! As the oldest student in my class, in my 40s, I faced a year of intense learning, balancing full-time studies with part-time work and raising my child alone. The journey was demanding, with essays, exams, and coursework completed by hand or on my laptop. Despite the challenges, in 2012, I graduated, marking the start of my professional career in beauty therapy.
From there, I continued my education, completing Level 2 and Level 3 Beauty Therapy over two years of full-time study.
After gaining industry experience at Ardoe House and PURE Spa, I came across an opportunity that changed everything—a room for rent at ICE. With no savings, no business plan, no clients of my own, and no clear roadmap, I took a leap of faith.
Now, six years later, in February 2024, I am proud to have built a thriving business with an incredible client base. The support, loyalty, and recommendations from my clients mean the world to me, and I am truly grateful for the trust they place in me.
